The Tanzania Association of Clean Cooking Stakeholders (TACCS) is a national multi-stakeholder platform that brings together institutions, private sector actors, civil society, and development partners to accelerate access to clean cooking solutions in Tanzania. TACCS works to coordinate stakeholders, strengthen partnerships, influence supportive policies and standards, mobilize investment and financing, promote market development, and raise public awareness on clean cooking technologies and fuels. The association seeks to address key challenges such as heavy dependence on biomass, deforestation, indoor air pollution, health risks, limited affordability of clean cooking appliances, weak distribution systems, and low sector investment, while advancing gender equality, job creation, environmental protection, and the transition to modern, affordable, and sustainable cooking energy for all Tanzanians.
